Language Skills
Having lived in four different countries so far, I have come to value the ability to communicate in the respective national language. Many people have suggested I have a gift for languages. While this might well be the case for Germanic and Romance languages, my attempts to learn Greek, Russian, and Mandarin were far less successful.

Computer Skills
At age 9, I assembled my first computer. At age 15, I wrote my first program for use on my TI-83 graphing calculator. In my late teens, I started experimenting with LaTeX, PHP and SQL. More recently I have discovered the usefulness of APIs. These skills have been invaluable during my studies and for work, and most colleagues would describe me as very computer-savvy. But compared with the real geeks out there, there is so much that yet is to be explored.
